  • Glenn Martin

    Founding Director and Inventor of Martin Jetpack

    In 1981 Glenn developed the concept of the Martin Jetpack. A research and development program spanning almost 30 years has successfully proven the original engineering concept with the achievement of successful personal flight. He has held sales and marketing positions in the Pharmaceutical Industry and has a proven record of commercialisation of original products in the Biotechnology Industry. Glenn continues in a founder's role in the company with an outwards focus on customers and investors.

     
  • Jenny Morel, CNZM

    Chairman

    Jenny is the Founder and Managing Partner of No 8 Ventures Management, which invests in taking New Zealand technology companies to the world. She is also the Founder of the Morgo annual conference for entrepreneurs. In 2006 Jenny was made a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to business. For No 8 Ventures, she is also Chairman of Surveylab and Rex Bionics and director of Open Cloud Ltd.

     
  • Dennis Chapman

    Director

    Founder and key technical person behind the development of Christchurch’s Switchtec Power Systems Ltd, which he started in 1985 and sold in 1998 as a $100 million company employing over 400 staff. Prior to Switchtec, Dennis was head of Mobile Radio Research at Tait Electronics Limited. Dennis is a member of the Advisory Board of No 8 Ventures and a director of Industrial Research Limited and Vega Industries Ltd.

     
  • Richard Lauder

    Director

    Richard Lauder is a long term investor in the Martin Aircraft Company, and joined the board of directors in 2004. He held the position of Chief Executive from 2008 to 2011. His experience as a business leader includes recent roles as Executive Chairman of Excell Corporation and as Managing Director of City Care – both large infrastructure contracting companies. Prior to that Richard led an organisation that successfully researched, developed and commercialised a number of new product technologies for the civil construction industry. With degrees in engineering, management and philosophy, Richard is a member of the Institute of Directors, and has sat on the boards of a number of industry organisations. Richard’s commercial experience, particularly in technology development and business growth, is a strong asset for Martin Aircraft Company Ltd.

     
  • David Hunter

    Director

    During his 37 years commercial experience, David has held a number of key management roles and directorships. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer for BearingPoint Inc. (formerly KPMG Consulting), a $5 billion annual revenue company, and the Chief Executive Officer of Accenture Limited, a $3 billion annual revenue company.

    Since 2000, he has held directorships with both listed (Staging Connections Group Limited) and unlisted companies (Australian Government Solicitor, Murray Irrigation Limited, Forest and Wood Products Corporation, and IWM Centre Management Limited).

    David is currently a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the NSW Government Office of State Revenue, Chairman of Tugeto Pty Ltd (a family investment Company), and Chairman of the Momentum Mortgage Limited Investor Committee.

    David Hunter has recently invested in Martin Aircraft Company.

     
  • Greg Tyrrell

    Research and Development Manager

    Greg is responsible for managing the Research and Development team and the day to day operations of Martin Aircraft Company. He has an extensive aviation and management background, having served in the New Zealand Air Force for 17 years as a fast jet pilot and instructor and working as an instructor in the Middle East. His recent experience has focused on project management of training systems and simulators.
