  • Glenn Martin

    Managing Director and Inventor of Martin Jetpack

    In 1981 Glenn developed the concept of the Martin Jetpack. A research and development program spanning almost 30 years has successfully proven the original engineering concept with the achievement of successful personal flight. He has held sales and marketing positions in the Pharmaceutical Industry and has a proven record of commercialisation of original products in the Biotechnology Industry. Glenn manages Martin Aircraft and has built up an impressive team of avionic, technical, design and production experts.

  • Richard Lauder

    Chief Executive and Director

    Richard Lauder is a long term investor in the Martin Aircraft Company, and joined the board of directors in 2004. He was appointed Chief Executive in 2008. His experience as a business leader includes recent roles as Executive Chairman of Excell Corporation and as Managing Director of City Care – both large infrastructure contracting companies. Prior to that Richard led an organisation that successfully researched, developed and commercialised a number of new product technologies for the civil construction industry. With degrees in engineering, management and philosophy, Richard is a member of the Institute of Directors, and has sat on the boards of a number of industry organisations. Richard’s commercial experience, particularly in technology development and business growth, is a strong asset for Martin Aircraft Company Ltd.

  • Jenny Morel

    Chairman

    Jenny is Executive Director of No. 8 Ventures founded in 1999. Previously she started Morel & Co Ltd as the only investment bank in New Zealand specialising in technology companies. She has a long career background in investment banking and company directorships in both UK and New Zealand.

  • Anthony Romano

    Director

    Anthony began his career with Deloitte & Touche in Christchurch and then in Milan, Italy. Whilst overseas he was a key executive in the start up of both Timberland Italy and the European head office for Calvin Klein, where he became the Chief Executive Officer and Board Director for 6 years. Anthony then spent four years as the General Manager and Board Director for Luna Rossa for the 2007 Americas Cup challenge. He has now set up his own consulting company and is also Director of the holding company for the Christchurch Tramway and Gondola.
