Martin Aircraft Company has been invited to be a VIP guest at this year’s TOP MARQUES MONACO show, which will take place at the Grimaldi Forum from April 14th to 17th 2016.
TOP MARQUES MONACO began as a dream 12 years ago and has since blossomed into the world’s greatest supercar show. In recent years it has expanded to showcase other aspects of a luxury lifestyle, such as elegant watches, state-of-the-art super boats and the very finest in bespoke jewellery.
Alongside the Monaco Grand Prix, Monte Carlo Rolex Masters and The Monaco Yacht Show, TOP MARQUES MONACO is a must attend for Europe’s elite and discerning, making it the perfect event to introduce personal Jetpack ownership to this market demographic.
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Martin Aircraft Company, Peter Coker, states, “Martin Aircraft has to date focused on the key markets of first responder and commercial, which are our target customers for our initial Jetpacks. Now that we have been able to secure good traction in these market segments, it’s appropriate that we start to socialise the concept of future personal Jetpack ownership to the global community. “
Coker further comments, “Given the current potential demand for First Responder units, which are scheduled for delivery commencing later this year followed by our commercial product for the agricultural, mining, oil and gas industry, we need to start locking down production runs for this new line of Personal Jetpacks so as to ensure early adopter individuals are not disadvantaged.”
The Martin Jetpack is a disruptive technology, much like the helicopter was when first developed, with substantial capabilities. It is able to be flown by a pilot or via remote control and can take off and land vertically (VTOL). Because of its small dimensions, it can operate in confined spaces that other VTOL aircraft such as helicopters cannot access, such as close to or between buildings, near trees or landing on the deck of a super yacht without the need for a full size helipad.
The price of the Personal Jetpack is yet to be confirmed but it is likely to be in the region of US$150,000-$200,000. In addition, training and licence requirements will need to be established with the aviation authorities of each country, a process that is already underway in partnership with the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority.
Comments Steven Saltzman, director of Top Marques Monaco, "Top Marques scours the world for exciting products that are at the leading edge of innovation and technological development. We are therefore thrilled to be able to provide the stage for the European launch of the Martin Personal Jetpack, which we know will resonate strongly with our guests. We are looking forward to offering His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco the opportunity to view a scale static model of the Jetpack and experience flying the Martin Jetpack using the full motion simulator that will be available throughout the show.”
Martin Aircraft Company’s stand will take prime position at the entrance of the impressive Grimaldi Forum, welcoming guests to what is arguably the most glamorous show on earth.
